Choose the matching recombinant isotype control antibody

InvivoGen provides a collection of control monoclonal antibodies (mAb) designed to help differentiate non-specific backgrounds from specific antibody signals.

InvivoGen's recombinant control mAb family comprises the constant region of different native or engineered human, mouse, or rat isotypes and the variable region of an anti-β-galactosidase (β-Gal) mAb. The β-Gal protein is expressed by E.coli and hence, is not present in humans, rats, or mice.

The control antibodies differ in their effector functions, such as complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC) and antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC), depending on their constant region. Select the isotype control to match the primary antibody's host, isotype, subclass, method of production, and working concentration.

InvivoGen offers the following control mAb isotypes:

Our control mAbs are either produced in hybridoma cells or Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells using recombinant technology. They can be used as controls in blocking, neutralization, depletion, or activation assays in vivo or in vitro, as well as for other applications, including immunofluorescence (IF), immunocytochemistry (ICC), immunoprecipitation (IP), and ELISA.
